NALS: Ending

assalamualaikum wbt. and hello :)

so this next post is the continuity from the first part(you can read it here: http://daengmelati.blogspot.com/2013/03/nals-introduction.html).....so for the second part, I will tell you about the third and fourth session of the symposium, the keynote speech and the my feedback for the program.

SESSION 3

so after Asar prayer, all the participant have to get ready for the third session of the day. So this time, no panel discussion any more but a speech given by one of the famous artists in Malaysia. So how is he?  Let me give you some clue,he is a very talented artist, multi talented actually. He is a singer, actor, writer, motivator, chef and he owns a company. Can you guess who is he? If your answer is Dato' Fazley Yaakob, then you are correct.

His speech is about "Artist as the Malaysian Ambassador in the social media and how we can use this opportunity to make Malaysia to be known in the eyes of the world?"

He shared with us his principle to be a successful person in your life....
  1. Time is something to create and manage.
  2. Think like an entrepenuer not an employee.
  3. Create a profit centre for yourself.
  4. Don't wait to be thabked.
  5. Networking "up" is not the only way.
  6. Being co-operative matters more than being talented.
he also gave us a few advices, for example, he said to use the talent that we have wisely. Do not afraid to talk about your ideas to others because ideas is created to convince people. Before he ends his talk, he sang his latest song. The girls inside the hall went crazy when they knew that Dato' want to sing.

he's approaching my seat

taddaaaa....he is in front of me...snap snap snap

KEYNOTE SPEECH

The next event was the keynote speech by Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. Currently, he is the Chief of the Putrajaya Umno. Keynote speech is usually delivered to set the underlying tone and summarize the core message or most revelation of the event. As it's already 5.30 pm, I'm so exhausted so I kept fall asleep during this session. Oh,btw, his topics is  "Global Politics and How it Affects Malaysia"
Nothing much to be shared because it's about politics...so nothing to be jotted down.

SESSION 4

yeah at last, the last session of the day. At this moment, my brain and body were too exhausted. So the last session was about "Secular State and the Implementation of Syariah".  The panelist for the last session was Dr.Asri Zainal Abidin, former Mufti of Perlis and Dr.Juanda Jaya, the current Mufti of Perlis.

Dr. Asri and Dr.Juanda
First of all, we must know the definition of secular state. Secular is defined as denoting attitudes, activities or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis while secular state refers to a state or country purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligious. A secular state also claims that they treated the citizens equally regardless the religion. Secular state don't have a state religion even though the absence of a state religion doesn't guarantee that a state is secular. Examples of secular state are Kazahstan and Azerbaijan.

Malaysia is promoted as Islamic state even though our government didn't practice Islamic Law in their administration. I don't want to comment on this matter. Everyone have their own opinion. Malaysia only have Islamic law enforcement on family matter only. There are some suggestions to use Hudud Law in Malaysia but a conducive environment must be created first before being enforced.

So basically, the speech only about Islamic Law and whether it is suitable to be used in Malaysia based on current situation.

So that's all that I can share with all of you. I'm sorry if I didn't explained well on some parts for the entry. Oh,FYI, NALS will be held again this year (huyaaaahh) but I'm not sure when but I will make sure that I'll join again this year. Maybe not as a participant but a committee members. Who knows?
